Katie's Story

Katie was a bright, fun, anthletic, and kind 17 year old when she was diagnosed with a rare childhood bone/soft tissue cancer called Ewing's Sarcoma.

Katie fought fiercely for six years. She endured 17 surguries, 94 blood transfustions, 115 doses of radiation, hundreds of rounds of chemotherapy, and a stem cell transplant. She also battled sepsis, pneumonia, a pleural effusion, and countless other side effects of her treatments. She was a true warrior and inspiration to all who knew her.

Katie passed away in November, 2024 at the age of 23.

#LiveLifeLike KT

Katie used her message of HOPE to encourage others to not only continue their fight, but to also continue to LIVE during the fight. Throughout her cancer journey, Katie's artwork provided a distraction and outlet to express herself. She combined her passions for art, nature, and childhood cancer advocacy to share it with others through Katie's Collective.

Katie's Collective is going to continue her work and keep her spirit, legacy, and advocacy alive. Portions of the proceeds from Katie's Collective will be donated to non-profits that help cancer families and fund research to find a CURE!
